The fastest way to connect HubSpot: log in to HubSpot, pick your account and approve the permissions. There is no key to create, no permission to tick one by one, and nothing to copy or paste. It takes about a minute and costs no credits.
Before you start
Use a HubSpot user who can install apps. HubSpot only lets users with the right to install apps approve a connection. Super Admins always can.
Know which HubSpot account to connect. If your HubSpot login gives access to several accounts, HubSpot asks you to pick one.
Connect HubSpot
Open the HubSpot integration. In Gojiberry, go to Integrations, find the HubSpot card (in the CRM category) and click Install this app.
The HubSpot card on the Integrations page. Click Install this app.
Choose Log in with HubSpot and click Continue to HubSpot. It is the recommended option and is already selected.
Log in with HubSpot is selected by default. Click Continue to HubSpot.
Log in to HubSpot and pick your account. HubSpot opens in the same tab. Log in if you are not already, then choose the HubSpot account Gojiberry should connect to.
Approve the permissions. HubSpot lists what Gojiberry asks for (each one is explained below). Approve them to finish.
You are back in Gojiberry. HubSpot sends you back to the Integrations page and the HubSpot settings open on their own, marked Connected.
The permissions Gojiberry asks for
Permission | Why Gojiberry needs it |
Contacts (read and write) | Create your leads as HubSpot contacts, update them, and check whether a lead is already in HubSpot. |
Companies (read and write) | Link each contact to its company, or create the company when it does not exist yet. |
Users and owners | Let you choose the HubSpot user who owns the contacts Gojiberry creates. |
Contact properties | Show your HubSpot fields so you can choose where each Gojiberry field goes. |
Deals (read, optional) | Exclude leads based on their HubSpot deal stage. |
Lists (read, optional) | Import a HubSpot list as a Gojiberry list. |
đĄ No key to keep safe
With this option, Gojiberry never shows you a key and you never have to store one. The connection stays active on its own until you remove it.
Finish the setup
Your connection is live as soon as you approve it in HubSpot: from then on, every new lead is sent to HubSpot automatically. Take a minute to check these settings before you close the window.
Choose a contact owner. In the General tab, pick the HubSpot user who should own the contacts Gojiberry creates. Until you pick one, new contacts arrive in HubSpot without an owner.
Check the field mapping. Still in General, each Gojiberry field (first name, job title, LinkedIn URL...) is matched to a HubSpot property. Change any property you want.
Choose when contacts are created. In the Gojiberry â HubSpot tab, pick All leads (the default), On first reply or Manually.
Click Save changes.
Two more tabs are worth a look: HubSpot â Gojiberry lets you skip leads that are already in HubSpot, and Integration logs shows what was sent for each lead.
â ď¸ Pick the contact owner first
Since leads start flowing right away, choose the contact owner as soon as you are back in Gojiberry, so every new contact is assigned to the right person.
Switch from a service key
Already connected with a service key or a private app token? You can switch at any time without losing your settings.
Open the HubSpot settings from the Integrations page.
Click Change connection in the General tab.
Choose Log in with HubSpot, click Continue to HubSpot, and approve the permissions as described above.
Your contact owner, field mapping, sending and exclusion settings are kept. If you exclude leads already in HubSpot, Gojiberry reads your HubSpot contacts again from the start, which can take a few minutes on a large account.
If the connection fails
If you cancel on the HubSpot page or something goes wrong, you come back to Gojiberry with the message HubSpot connection failed. Nothing was changed: click Install this app and try again. The most common causes:
Your HubSpot user cannot install apps. Ask a HubSpot Super Admin to connect, or to give you that right.
You stayed on the HubSpot page for more than 15 minutes. For security, the connection link expires. Start again from Gojiberry.
You declined the permissions. Gojiberry needs them to send your leads. Start again and approve them.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cost credits?
No. Connecting HubSpot, sending leads, logging messages and replies, and importing lists cost no Gojiberry credits.
Are my existing leads sent to HubSpot when I connect?
No. Only new leads are sent automatically. To send older ones, select them on the Contacts page and send them to HubSpot from Export.
What happens if I uninstall Gojiberry from HubSpot?
Gojiberry can no longer reach your HubSpot account, so it disconnects the integration and emails you. Your contacts already in HubSpot are not touched. To reconnect, go back to Integrations and log in with HubSpot again.
Should I use Log in with HubSpot or a service key?
Log in with HubSpot whenever it is available: it is quicker, every permission is requested for you, and there is no key to create or store. A service key remains available if you prefer to manage the key yourself.
I have several HubSpot accounts. Can I connect more than one?
No, you connect one HubSpot account at a time. Logging in with HubSpot again replaces the current connection.
