My Campaign is Live but I'm Getting No Replies

This is a common issue that usually comes down to messaging style, targeting accuracy, or basic technical setups.

Here are the most frequent causes and how to solve them:

1. Your Messaging is Too Cold or Pitch-Heavy

If your automated messages read like a generic, unprompted sales pitch, prospects will ignore them—even if they recently showed intent signals.

  • Leverage the AI Templates: It's always recommended you create your own AI Template to personalize your approach even more, and give a general template to our AI to follow when contacting your leads

You can create an AI template right from your Account Settings here:

That way, you can customize your messages further to increase the reply rate

  • Keep it Short and Casual: Don't write a wall of text. Aim for 2 to 3 sentences max. Ask a simple open-ended question instead of immediately asking for a 15-minute demo call.

2. Your AI Messages Aren't Personalizing Correctly

If you are using AI-generated icebreakers and you have already created your AI templates, you might not have yet selected the AI template you created for your campaign

Go to your Agents tab and select the desired campaign

You can select the Campaign tab and edit the message step to see exactly which template is being used

In there, you will be able to select the template and choose the one you created

After doing this, your new leads will receive their messages with the new template

Any previous leads from your campaign might already have their messages generated with the older template. You can go to your Copilot tab, verify, and regenerate the message to start using the new template instead

3. Your ICP Targeting is Disconnected from the Signal

You might be tracking a great intent signal, but filtering it down with an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) that doesn't make sense for that specific behavior.

  • Review your active campaign criteria (job titles, locations, company size).

  • Ensure that the job titles you're targeting are actually the ones experiencing the pain point indicated by the signal. If your target is too broad, the message loses its context.

4. Technical and Limit Bottlenecks

Your campaign might be live, but the actual volume of messages being delivered daily might be lower than you think due to security throttles due to LinkedIn Limits.

Remember that Gojiberry strictly respects LinkedIn's safety constraints. If you have low acceptance rates on your connection invites, your follow-up messages won't have a chance to be sent.

We recommend increasing your limits slowly, as this will protect your LinkedIn profile

Summary

  1. Ditch the Hard Pitch: Keep messages to 2–3 sentences. Ask a casual, open-ended question instead of jumping straight to a demo request.

  2. Create and Apply AI Templates: Build a custom messaging framework in Account Settings, then edit your campaign step to select it. For older pending leads, use the Copilot tab to regenerate their text.

  3. Align ICP with the Signal: Review your job titles and company sizes. Make sure the personas you are filtering for actually experience the specific pain point your active signal flags.

  4. Watch Safety Bottlenecks: Gojiberry throttles volume to respect LinkedIn's strict safety limits. If your connection requests aren't being accepted, your follow-up messages will never have a chance to be sent.
