Workspace member categories

A quick overview of the different workspace roles and their permissions within Gojiberry.

Workspace members are divided into three roles: Owner, Admin, and Member. Each role has different levels of access depending on what actions are needed inside the workspace.

Owner

The Owner has full control over the workspace.

  • Full access to all settings and data

  • View all workspace members and their activity

  • Manage billing, subscriptions, and add-ons

  • Invite, remove, and manage members

  • Promote or demote member and admin roles

  • Transfer workspace ownership

  • Configure workspace-wide defaults and settings

  • Login as any member account

The Owner role is a superset of all permissions in the system and is solely responsible for managing subscription payments and organizational structure.

Admin

Admins help manage the workspace operationally.

  • View all workspace members

  • Invite new members and revoke pending invitations

  • Login as any member (excluding Owner accounts)

  • Create and manage their own workspace customizations

  • View invoices (may vary depending on workspace configuration)

  • Use the product with their own account

Admins do not have access to billing management, subscription changes, role promotions, or ownership transfers.

Member

Members are standard users of the workspace.

  • View workspace members

  • Access and use the platform features assigned to them

  • Use the product with their own account

Members cannot manage other users, billing, or workspace settings.

Billing Notes

Billing access is not strictly role-restricted in every view. Some invoice visibility may be available to Admins or Members depending on workspace configuration and UI context.

However, subscription management actions (such as plan changes or cancellations) are always restricted to the Owner role.

Summary

  • Owner — full control over everything

  • Admin — manages members and day-to-day operations

  • Member — uses the platform only
