📍 Open the Campaign You Want to Edit
Click Agents in the left-hand menu.
Open the Agent you want to update.
Click the Campaign tab at the top of the Agent.
You’ll now see the current outreach sequence and its settings.
👇 What Do You Want to Change?
From the Campaign tab:
To change a step’s message, template, or other available settings, click Edit next to that step.
To change a normal delay, click the X day(s) after label directly in the campaign.
To add, remove, or reorder steps, click the main Edit button in the top-right corner.
To change the campaign language, goal, tone, first-degree connection rules, email fallback, or split messages, click Campaign settings in the top-right corner.
✏️ Editing an Existing Step
For steps that have editable settings, click Edit directly next to the step.
The available settings depend on the action.
For example, when editing a Send LinkedIn Message step, you can choose between:
AI-powered Icebreaker
Gojiberry creates a personalized message for each lead using their profile, company, and detected buying signals.
You can also:
💡 Use Generate preview for a sample lead before saving important changes to an AI-powered message.
Same message for everyone
Write a fixed message that will be used for your leads.
You can use variables such as:
You can also add a GIF or attachment.
Other steps may have their own editable settings depending on the action. For example, a Like Posts step lets you choose how many recent posts to like.
When you're finished, click Save Step.
⏱️ Changing the Delay Between Steps
The normal wait time before a step appears directly between campaign steps as:
X day(s) after
Click this label directly to change the delay.
For steps that have an Edit panel, the same wait time can also be adjusted from the following step.
The delay belongs to the step that comes after it. For example, if 2 day(s) after appears above a LinkedIn Message, that message waits two days after the previous step is completed.
The minimum delay is 1 day, so it cannot be set to 0 days.
Important: The Skip after X days setting on a Connection Request has a different purpose. It controls the LinkedIn-to-email fallback, which is explained below.
📨 Editing the Connection Request
In the campaign, the Connection Request appears as Send Invitation.
Click Edit next to it to change its settings.
Invitation
Sends a simple LinkedIn Connection Request without a note.
Invitation + Note
Adds a personalized note to the Connection Request.
You can use variables such as:
FirstName
LastName
Company
The note can contain up to 180 characters.
⚠️ If you don't have Sales Navigator, LinkedIn limits connection requests with a note to 5 per month. In that case, sending invitations without a note is generally recommended.
👍 Like Posts Before Sending
The Connection Request also includes a Like posts before sending option.
When enabled, Gojiberry randomly likes 1 to 2 recent posts from the lead before sending the Connection Request.
This is different from adding a separate Like Posts step to the campaign.
📧 Skip After X Days: LinkedIn-to-Email Fallback
The Connection Request also has a Skip after X days setting.
This controls how long Gojiberry waits for the lead to accept your Connection Request before using the email fallback.
If the invitation is not accepted within that period, Gojiberry skips the LinkedIn steps that require the connection and continues to the next Send Email step in the sequence, if one is included.
Click Skip after X days directly on the Connection Request to change the fallback period.
What is the difference?
X day(s) after
Controls the normal wait time before the following campaign step.
Skip after X days
Controls how long Gojiberry waits for the Connection Request to be accepted before skipping connection-dependent LinkedIn steps and falling back to email.
🗑️ Removing and Re-Adding the Connection Request
The Connection Request can also be removed from an existing campaign.
When you remove it, Gojiberry warns that LinkedIn messages will only be sent to people who are already your 1st-degree connections.
Without a Connection Request, Automatically exclude first-degree connections becomes unavailable because existing 1st-degree connections are the people who can receive your LinkedIn messages.
You can add the Connection Request back later. When you do, Gojiberry automatically places it at the top of the workflow as Step 1.
⚙️ Campaign Settings
Some settings apply to the entire campaign rather than one individual step.
From the Campaign tab, click Settings in the top-right corner.
Choose the campaign language, select whether your goal is to start conversations or book sales calls, and set the message tone to Professional, Conversational, or Direct.
⚠️ Campaign AI settings apply to newly generated messages only.
Messages that were already generated are not automatically rewritten when these settings change.
If needed, review existing messages in Copilot and regenerate them.
Connection Rules
Automatically exclude first-degree connections controls whether people already connected to you on LinkedIn are excluded from the campaign. This setting becomes unavailable when the campaign does not contain a connection request.
Split Messages into a Conversation
You can enable Split messages into a conversation for LinkedIn messages.
When enabled, Gojiberry can split one message into 2 to 4 shorter messages, sent a few seconds apart when it feels natural.
This setting is configured separately for each campaign.
🛠️ Editing the Campaign Structure
If you want to add, remove, or reorder steps, use the main Edit button in the top-right corner.
Pause outreach before making structural changes.
Click Edit in the top-right corner.
Add, remove, or reorder the steps you want to change.
Click Save Changes.
Restart outreach when you're ready.
Adding a New Step
While in Edit mode, click Add a step.
Available actions include:
🤝 Send Connection Request
💬 Send Message
🎤 Voice Message
👀 Visit Profile
👍 Like Posts
📧 Send Email
These actions can be combined to create LinkedIn-only or multichannel sequences.
Removing a Step
Use the delete icon next to a step while in Edit mode.
Reordering Steps with Drag and Drop
Steps can be reordered using drag and drop before contacts begin progressing through the campaign.
Click and hold the drag handle.
Move the step to the desired position.
Click Save Changes.
Once contacts have started progressing through the campaign, drag-and-drop reordering may no longer be available, even for later steps that have not yet been reached.
If you need to significantly reorder a campaign that already has active contacts, duplicating the campaign and moving only Not contacted leads is the safer option.
⚠️ Editing a Campaign That Already Has Leads
You can still update a campaign after leads have entered it.
Depending on the campaign's current progress, you may still be able to:
Update message content
Change an AI Template
Adjust a delay
Change step-specific settings
Remove a step when the interface allows it
Changes that affect the order of the workflow require more care once contacts have already progressed.
If you need to add several steps, remove multiple steps, or significantly change their order, duplicating the campaign is usually the safer option.
♻️ Duplicating a Campaign for Major Changes
To duplicate an existing campaign:
Go to Agents.
Find the Agent you want to duplicate.
Click the ⋮ menu on the Agent card.
Click Duplicate.
You can then rebuild the duplicate without changing the sequence already being followed by contacted leads.
A good approach is:
Duplicate the campaign.
Make the required changes in the duplicate.
Keep already-contacted leads in the original campaign.
Move only Not contacted leads to the duplicate.
Review the new workflow.
Launch it when ready.
🔁 Moving “Not Contacted” Leads to the Duplicated Campaign
To find contacts that have not received outreach yet:
Go to Contacts.
Click Add more filters.
Under List, select the list associated with the original campaign.
Under Campaign status, select Not contacted.
Select the contacts you want to move.
Click Add to list.
Choose the list associated with the duplicated campaign.
Double-check the destination list before moving your contacts, especially if the original and duplicated lists have similar names.
⚠️ Only move contacts with the “Not contacted” status.
Moving a contact that has already received outreach into another campaign may re-enroll that contact into a workflow and cause outreach steps to be sent again.
✅ Before Restarting Your Campaign
Before restarting outreach, check that:
Your steps are in the correct order
Your normal X day(s) after delays are correct
Your Skip after X days fallback is configured correctly
Your Connection Request settings are correct
Your Campaign AI language, goal, and tone are correct
Your AI Templates are assigned correctly
Previously generated AI messages have been reviewed or regenerated if you changed the campaign's AI settings or template
No contacts have already progressed through steps you are trying to remove or reorder
Once everything looks good, save your changes and restart your outreach.
