A voice message stands out in a LinkedIn inbox full of text. With AI voice messages, Gojiberry writes a short, personal note for each lead and speaks it in your own cloned voice (or one of our built-in voices), so you can send voice notes at scale without recording a single one. Each AI voice message costs 2 credits.
What are AI voice messages?
A Voice message step in a campaign can work in two ways:
Record a voice message. You record it once yourself, and every lead hears the same message.
AI voice message. Every lead gets their own message. Gojiberry's AI writes a short note based on the lead and your conversation so far, then speaks it in the voice you chose.
The voices are generated with ElevenLabs v4, one of the most realistic AI voice models available. Messages are spoken in a relaxed, conversational tone, like a quick note left between two meetings, so they sound natural rather than read from a script.
Choose AI voice message in the step editor to send a different message to each lead.
ℹ️ Voice messages need a connection
LinkedIn only lets you send voice messages to your 1st-degree connections. Place the voice step after the Connection Request, or use it in a campaign that targets people you're already connected with.
Add an AI voice message to a campaign
Open your Campaign tab, click Edit, then Add a step and choose Voice Note. To change an existing voice step, click its Edit button.
Choose AI voice message. The option reads "A different message for each contact, written by AI and spoken in your own voice."
Pick a voice. In the Voice list, choose one of your own voices under AI voice clones, or a built-in voice under Default voices. Click the speaker icon next to a built-in voice to listen to it. Don't have your own voice yet? Click Create a new AI voice (see Create your AI voice below).
Preview it with Generate preview for a sample lead to hear what a lead would receive (see Preview before you launch below).
Set the delay after the previous step and save. Each lead will get their own message, spoken in this voice, when they reach the step.
Gojiberry includes 12 built-in voices in several languages. They're ready to use straight away and don't count toward your own voice limit.
Create your AI voice
Your AI voice is created from a recording of about 2 minutes. Once it's ready, every voice message can be spoken in your voice, with your accent and intonation. Creating a voice is free.
Open the voice creator. In an AI voice message step, click Create my AI voice or Create a new AI voice.
Name your voice and choose its language. For example "My voice in English". Pick the language you'll speak in: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian or Portuguese. If you have several microphones, choose the one to use.
A few tips are shown before you start. A quiet room makes the biggest difference.
Click Start recording and read the text out loud. Read at your usual pace, as if you were talking to a prospect. You need at least 1 minute of audio before you can stop, and the recording ends automatically at 3 minutes. Small slips are fine: just keep going. This text is only used to create your voice and is never sent to anyone.
Listen back. Your voice should be clear, with no background noise or echo. If it isn't, click Record again: the clone copies what it hears.
Give your consent and create the voice. Tick "This is my own voice, and I agree to Gojiberry creating an AI version of it to send messages on my behalf", then click Create my voice. It takes a few seconds.
Hear the result. A short sample message plays in your new voice. If it doesn't sound like you, click Record again and try in a quieter room, closer to your microphone. Otherwise, click Sounds good.
💡 One voice per language
You can have up to 3 voices of your own. If you prospect in two languages, create one voice per language and read the text in that language each time.
You'll need a recent browser and to allow microphone access when your browser asks.
Preview before you launch
Before launching, you can hear exactly what one of your leads would receive.
In the AI voice message step, choose a voice and click Generate preview for a sample lead.
Pick a lead under Preview as. Gojiberry writes the message for that lead. Writing it is free.
Read the message, edit it if you like (up to 500 characters), or click Rewrite to get a new version.
Click Generate the voice to listen to it. This costs 2 credits.
The preview is only for you: it isn't saved and isn't sent to the lead. When the campaign runs, each lead gets their own freshly written message.
What happens when the campaign runs
Written and spoken for each lead. When a lead reaches the AI voice step, Gojiberry writes their message and generates the audio, then sends it as a LinkedIn voice message.
Replies stop the sequence. As with every step, if the lead replies before the voice step, the voice message isn't sent.
Out of credits? The lead simply waits on the voice step. Nothing is skipped: the voice message is created and sent automatically as soon as your balance has credits again.
Want to check a message before it's sent?
Open a lead from Copilot or from the lead's profile in your campaign. On a voice step the lead hasn't reached yet, click Write the message to see what the AI would say. You can edit it, then click Generate the voice (2 credits) to save it as that lead's voice message. It will be sent when the lead reaches the step.

💡 You only pay for voices that work
If a voice message can't be generated, the 2 credits are returned to your balance automatically. A voice message already created for a lead is reused, never charged twice.
Credits come from your team's shared balance and appear as "AI voice message" in your credits usage history. AI voice messages are available on every plan.
Privacy and security of your voice
Your voice is personal. Here is how we protect it:
Your consent comes first. A voice is only created after you confirm it's your own and agree to its use.
It stays private to you. No other Gojiberry user, including your teammates, can see or use your voice. It only speaks the voice messages of your own campaigns, sent from your own LinkedIn account.
Your recording is stored securely. We keep the recording you made in private, access-restricted storage, only so we can recreate your voice if needed. It is never shared.
Our voice provider adds its own protections. ElevenLabs doesn't allow this type of voice to be shared, published or downloaded. It blocks the cloning of high-risk voices, monitors for misuse, and watermarks the audio it generates so it can be traced.
Not used to train AI models. We've opted out of model training with ElevenLabs, so your recordings aren't used to train their AI models.
You stay in control. You can delete your voice at any time. Deleting it removes it from ElevenLabs and deletes your recording for good.

Manage and delete your voices
Your voices are listed in the Voice list of any AI voice message step, under AI voice clones, above the built-in Default voices.
Open the Voice list and click the trash icon next to the voice.
Confirm with Delete voice. The deletion is permanent: to use that voice again, you'll need to record a new one.
⚠️ Update the steps that used it
Campaign steps that used a deleted voice stop creating new voice messages, and leads wait on that step. Open each of those steps, choose another voice and save. Leads whose voice message was already created still receive it.
Tips for a natural voice
Find a quiet room without echo. Background noise ends up in your voice.
Keep your microphone about a hand's width from your mouth, at the same distance throughout.
Speak like you would on a call. The AI copies your pace, energy and tone. A flat reading gives a flat voice.
Preview with a few different leads before launching, to check that the messages fit your offer.
Keep your earlier messages relevant. The AI uses your conversation with the lead to write the voice note, so a good opening message leads to a better voice message.
Frequently asked questions
Can I listen to my voice sample again?
The sample plays once, right after you create your voice. To hear your voice again, use Generate preview for a sample lead in an AI voice message step.
Why does my AI voice sound a bit more casual than my recording?
All voice messages are spoken in a relaxed, conversational style, a little quicker than reading aloud, because that sounds more like a real voice note. This style is the same for every voice and can't be changed.
Can my teammates use my voice?
No. Your voice is private to your account. Each teammate can create their own voices.
Can I download my AI voice or use it outside Gojiberry?
No. Your voice can only be used inside Gojiberry, for your own voice messages.
How many voices can I create?
Up to 3. Delete one to create another. The built-in voices are always available and don't count.
My lead hasn't received the AI voice message. Why?
First check that your team still has credits: without 2 credits, the lead waits on the step and continues automatically once credits are added. Also check that the step's voice still exists. If it was deleted, choose another voice on the step and save.
Does the first message after a while take longer?
If you haven't used a voice for 30 days, the first message with it can take a few extra seconds while we get it ready. This is automatic, and the following messages are back to normal speed.
